Dear Lily,

I know this may not be the best way to do what I am about to, but I cannot think about anything else but this. I am confident that the best for us is to break up. Perhaps breaking up by a letter is not more popular than talking face to face or texting but, you have always said that letters are much more interesting and thoughtful than messages, moreover, we deserve a better ending. It seems to be that only a letter could give it to us.

You know, things got more complicated than what we predicted, and our physical distance grew us apart in feelings as well, I think you feel it too. I sincerely love you. Nevertheless, this length is much more complicated, plus we are living such different lives, we do not connect anymore. It is more than the distance issue, the different time zone we are in made chatting and being there for each other almost impossible.

I am sure you will find someone who can make you feel more comfortable when sharing feelings and that they will treat you kindlier than I did. You deserve it.

With all my love,
Matt
