I just heard the most beautiful song
With lyrics so true and a voice so strong
It was a song about a love that failed
The people involved the cheating unveiled
A love many thought would last forever
A love many believed could not be better
The song told of cheating and deception
So much went wrong it was beyond correction
It was in the papers as well as magazines
Along with salacious pictures that everyone had seen
The words from the song would move you to tears
Sung with a voice so very clear
When it was performed an encore was in demand
As thousands of people together would stand
They clapped their hands and stomped their feet
Just rocking away to the heart pounding beat
Who was the couple immortalized in this song
It’s been kept a secret for so very long
But their song has been sung for many years
Those in attendance always moved to tears
Their love did not survive because there was no trust
It eroded away like a car turned to rust
I just heard the most beautiful song
About a beautiful love that went so wrong.
